LIVING THE DREAM

Living The Dream refers to the experience academy football players have at Sheffield Wednesday F.C. The film shows the dream, everything involved in football academy training at S.W.F.C. The film focuses mostly on the scholarship stage, a two year training programme for apprentice footballers. They begin the scholarship at 16, and train for two years. At the end, aged 18, the apprentices, or scholars, hope to realize their dreams of becoming a professional footballer. Inevitably, not all will make it. So, the two-year scholarship must seem like a dream for these young guys; it goes past so fast. But also, the title represents every kid’s dream, to be a footballer.
